I said, “Oh Mary, I’m so sorry. Can I please stay here with you?”
“Of course my dear. Sex vedio I asked Sherry if she had seen Melanie. Can you tell me exactly what happened?”
Mary was overcome with grief so I said, “Mary told me that Roger walked her to her room and they were having coffee when he grabbed his chest and became unresponsive. Adams. I think Roger Welch is dead.”
She exclaimed, “What did you just say?” I told her again and she said, “I’ll be right down.”
Sherry arrived with the night nurse and after confirming there was no pulse she asked the nurse to call for an ambulance and the coroner. Mary had calmed down and was sobbing quietly so I took her in my arms and said, “There, there, Mary. ==============================================================
At breakfast Miss Stevens informed all the residents of Roger’s passing and there were many tears shed. She was crying and her friends did their best to console her. While death in an assisted living facility is not uncommon it’s still difficult for the guests. Unfortunately I had to tell her the sad news and she didn’t take it well.”
“I see,” I said. Given the days events no one felt like doing much of anything so after dinner I walked Mary to her room and kissed her goodnight.
